The MIT Center for Transportation & Logistics (MIT CTL) convenes members from the MIT CTL Supply Chain Exchange for the Annual Partner Meeting. The Annual Partner Meeting provides the representatives from our 50+ Supply Chain Exchange member companies with updates on the latest research and development activities at MIT CTL. We use this time together to solicit input from members on future plans for the Center.

This year, as we mark the 50th anniversary of the MIT Center for Transportation & Logistics, the milestone has given us much to ponder over the evolution of the supply chain and logistics field—the term “supply chain” itself is only 40 years old. Crossroads 2023 will consist of a series of informal, intimate discussions with leaders from at the fore of industry: leading shippers, carriers, tech companies, consumer products firms, and contract manufacturers.

Roundtable: The Warehouse of the Future

The program will include morning tours of the Long Beach port and a Maersk distribution facility, followed by afternoon discussions on the warehouse of the future. Presentations and discussions may include the following topics: dark warehouses, digital twin warehouses, and sustainable warehousing.

Over the past two decades, focus on supply chain innovation and professionalization has improved humanitarian response. This talk draws on examples of direct action by the MIT Humanitarian Supply Chain Lab to illustrate how supply chain innovation improves aid delivery and facilitates market recovery to more effectively meet human needs during crisis.
